Course Organiser
Tom Bainton graduated from Oxford University in 2012, undertook Foundation Training in the London Deanery and Specialist Training in Cambridge. He is currently the Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellow at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. He has a special interest in medical education, having completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education at Cambridge University in 2019.
Tom is the course facilitator for CCMIG.
Module 1 – Ergonomics of Laparoscopic Surgery & Risk Assessment
This module takes the trainees through exercises for build these skills. We have designed innovative models for the trainees to use in their Laparoscopic trainers.
Module 2 – Excisional Techniques & Endometriosis Management
The excision of peritoneal disease, adhesiolysis and ureterolysis are some of the vital clinical skills which any Laparoscopic surgeon has to master for advanced Laparoscopic surgery.
