Summary

This is compulsory part of the course and must be completed by all participants to complete the course. It should be treated by the trainee and their Trust as an exam and appropriate leave booked at the start of the course. It will contain both practical and theoretical tests.

The practical tests will be assessed on the trainees Laparoscopic trainer and will use models previously used in the course. The theoretical part will be assessed by a number of recognized assessment tools. The third part of assessment is to submit a 5 minutes video of a Laparoscopic operation carried out by the trainees themselves.
